where all your dreams come true

Location: Disney World, Orlando, Florida
Travel Date: February 2020

Nothing beats a winter escape from NYC like going south, especially to the most magical place on earth: Disney World. There are many spots where you can find a “wallpaper” ✌️

My cousins and I went to Disney World for the first time as adults (we even got the 1st time badge/pin). We decided that we would visit Disney World every few years because it's always magical yet tiring. Since our last trip, a few new rides opened up:

  • Snow White Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, a 2 hour wait when we got to the attraction at 9:35 AM (ride details on Disney)
  • Under the Sea @ Ariel’s Grotto (ride details on Disney)

THE CASTLE!

Here are my favorite back drops of Magic Kingdom:

Disney Magic Kingdom
how cool is that cloud behind the castle?

And just when you thought all there was to see were Disney characters and eat food at Epcot:

Flowers & Greenery Art

We didn't have to look too hard to find new artwork dressed in green: Frozen Elsa and Anna, Beauty and the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, pandas, and Ratatouille (IG post below).

A ton of Disney characters are on display for the 2020 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. We went to Epcot a day early but so happy to see this awesome work 🌱. Hopefully this art installation is available when you visit!

We booked our trip in January just before the coronavirus news broke the following week. Did we consider canceling? Not really. The day we flew out of Florida was the first case in Orlando. The day we flew back home was the first confirmed case in NY. Should we have avoided it? Who knows. (Edit a year later – very glad we went on this trip as the entire 2020 year had minimal contact with people)
